AUX to achieve annual production of 30 million AC compressors
AUX is constructing its air conditioning compressor project which will have an annual production capacity of 30 million units, and simultaneously it is completing factory decoration and equipment installation.
The project boasts a total investment of RMB 5 billion (about US$ 701.9 million), with a planned area of construction of 214,700 m2; of which 170,000 m2 will be newly constructed, alongside updates to existing areas. A research and development (R&D) center, stamping workshop, machining workshop, assembly workshop, finished product center, office building, dormitory building, and other auxiliary buildings will be constructed, and equipment for production, logistics and public support will be installed to create an annual production capacity of 30 million units of air conditioning compressors. Construction began in March 2024, and all the underground construction was completed by June.
At present, the R&D center, workshop, canteen and staff dormitory have all been capped, and the factory decoration and equipment commissioning have begun simultaneously along with the installation of the final assembly line, coating line, precision laboratory, substation, air compression station and other equipment. It is expected that the project will be completed and will begin trial production before the end of the year, and that it will officially begin production in the first half of 2025. When running at full production and full capacity, the project will increase average annual revenues by RMB 7.2 billion (about US$ 1.01 billion) with an annual tax payment of RMB 240 million (about US$ 33.7 million), and will create more than 1,000 job opportunities.
